The next Evidence Based Orthodontics Course will take place on-line on Saturday 12th November
The course will follow a similar format to our previous courses, covering the basics of evidence based medicine and systematic review, and then focusing on a variety of clinically-related orthodontic topics. The course will include a lot of information and will be based around treated cases, summarising the current evidence base for all subject areas and offering numerous clinical tips. Subjects will include the basics of systematic review and clinical research methodology, treatment planning, using the straight-wire appliance, twin-blocks, fixed functional appliances, impacted canines, missing maxillary lateral incisors, interceptive treatment for maxillary canines, poor-prognosis first permanent molar and class III malocclusion, and using TADs in routine practice. It will be conducted at a fairly intensive pace over the course of the day, but with lots of opportunities for questions and discussion. Lecture summaries and a full bibliography will be made available to each delegate. The course will start at 9.00 am UK time with the lectures and a post-course discussion concluding by 5.00 pm.
